Story

all the comforts of new orleans, just a little closer to home.

The Maple Tree Inn opened its doors in 1974 and has been serving Chicagoland’s finest Cajun / Creole cuisine ever since.

Traditional and original recipes handed down over a generation, hand-crafted cocktails, boutique wines on draft, a dedication to craft beer which spans decades, and a consummate team of professionals is our recipe to provide you with the best dining experience possible.

As many of you know, the Maple Tree Inn was awarded the very prestigious honor of being named in the Top 50 Best Southern Restaurants In America by Forbes, Food & Wine, and OpenTable in 2018.
Shortly thereafter, through no fault of its own, the Maple Tree Inn suffered a devastating fire.

37 days after the fire, we leased and opened our temporary location, Maple Tree Inn Bistro.
We stayed in this location for a year while we figured out our next step. Due to multiple reasons, the Olde Western location could not be rebuilt. We searched for a new home for the Maple Tree Inn and we are ecstatic to announce we have moved to Homewood!

Second generation owners, Erich & Katie Wennberg, along with a passionate and dedicated team (many who have been with us for over a decade), invite you to come in, sit back, relax, and enjoy “All The Comforts of New Orleans, Just A Little Closer To Home.”

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you all for your continued love and support.
It truly has been our strength for many years
and will continue to be our strength for many more.

We look forward to seeing you in Homewood!

Cheers!
